Privacy Policy

Overview

1. Who we are

White Lion Scientific Ltd (company number 17075971), trading as Peptide Clyde (“Peptide Clyde”, “we”, “us”), registered office at Radley House, Grangefield Industrial Estate, Pudsey, Leeds, Yorkshire, LS28 6LE, United Kingdom, operates peptideclyde.webcoder-dev.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. The data we collect

We collect what’s needed to take and fulfil an order, run the account system, and keep the site working:

  • Account & order data — name, billing and delivery address, email, phone number, order history.
  • Payment data — we do not store your payment details. Payments are processed by our payment provider(s), currently including NOWPayments for cryptocurrency payment, who handle and store payment information under their own privacy policy.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
  • Correspondence — anything you send us via the contact form, email, or order notes.

We do not ask for, and do not want, any information about how a product is used once it leaves us. Our products are sold strictly for laboratory research — see our Research Use Policy — and nothing in our checkout or account system is designed to collect health or medical information.

3. Why we use it

Under UK GDPR and the Australian Privacy Act 1988, we rely on the following bases:

  • Contract — processing your order, arranging delivery, handling returns.
  • Legal obligation — accounting, tax, and record-keeping requirements in the UK and Australia.
  • Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, keeping the site secure, improving the site based on aggregate usage.
  • Consent — marketing emails, and any non-essential cookies (see our Cookie Policy). You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are covered in full in our Cookie Policy, which sets out what we use, why, and how to manage your preferences. This Privacy Policy covers everything else.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the parties that need it to run the store:

  • Our payment provider(s) (currently NOWPayments) to take payment.
  • Couriers and postal services (such as Royal Mail, DHL, or Australia Post, depending on destination) to deliver your order.
  • Our hosting provider (Kinsta) and infrastructure services (including Cloudflare), who process data on our behalf to keep the site running and secure.
  • Email and analytics tools we use to send order confirmations and understand site usage.
  • Regulators, tax authorities, or law enforcement, where we’re legally required to.

We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Because we serve both UK and Australian customers, and some of our service providers process data outside your home country, personal data may be transferred internationally. Where that happens from the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or a provider’s UK adequacy status.

7. How long we keep it

We keep order and account data for as long as your account is active, plus a period afterwards to meet our tax and accounting obligations (typically 6 years in the UK). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Technical/cookie data is kept for the periods set out in our Cookie Policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you’re based:

  • UK customers have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port their data, and to object to certain processing, under UK GDPR. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
  • Australian customers have equivalent rights under the Australian Privacy Principles, and can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We’ll respond within one month.

9. Children

Our products and this site are for research professionals and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Security

We use technical and organisational measures — encrypted connections, restricted access, and a hosting provider chosen for its security practices — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we treat this seriously and will notify affected customers and regulators if a breach requires it.

11. Marketing

We’ll only send marketing emails if you’ve opted in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Order confirmations and account emails aren’t marketing and will continue regardless, as they’re necessary to fulfil your order.

12. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if how we handle data changes, and update the date at the top when we do. Significant changes will be flagged more prominently.

13. Contact & complaints

Questions, requests, or complaints about your data: [email protected], or by post to White Lion Scientific Ltd, Radley House, Grangefield Industrial Estate, Pudsey, Leeds, Yorkshire, LS28 6LE, United Kingdom. If you’re unhappy with our response, you can escalate to the ICO (UK) or OAIC (Australia) as set out above.
